After selecting a solution, the City of Lander asked that the project be built as quickly as achievable. James Gores and Associates worked closely with the City of Lander Public Works Department to design the project and quickly receive regulatory approval from Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality and bid the project construction so the project could be constructed before the onset of winter. It was recognized by all parties that this was an exceptionally tight schedule. The design was accomplished late in the summer. The advertising and bidding occurred in less than one month, and the project was let to contract.
Construction was completed according to design in late October and early November. The result of the improvement was an increase in pressure of 30 pounds to the neighborhood.
The project was completed under budget and within the city’s requested time line.
