In March of 2008 James Gores and Associates completed the Dubois Municipal Airport Master Plan Addendum for the Town of Dubois, Wyoming. The first step in implementing this plan is to acquire land adjacent to the airport to protect the approach zones for runway 10/28 and for implementation of proposed safety improvements recommended in the Master Plan. Our firm was employed to assist the Town of Dubois with the land acquisitions and environmental assessments for compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration.
In conjunction with subconsultant, TRC, Inc., the Environmental Assessment was drafted by January of 2009. After a public meeting in February, any edits will be completed for the final EA.
The property to be acquired has been surveyed and an appraiser is currently working on appraisals of that property. Once the appraisals are finished, negotiations will begin with landowners to finalize the purchases.
